OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE
- Stewpot Ministry - HCC's Outreach Committee and The Stewpot have teamed up and we need your help!
The Stewpot is an organization run by the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas that provides free lunches and other
services to the homeless in the downtown Dallas area. Besides making financial contributions, HCC is committed to
sending 3-5 volunteers the 2nd Thursday of each month to help serve lunch to 500+ people who are in need.
Volunteers typically meet at the Stewpot at 11:15am, returning by 1:00pm. Please consider volunteering for this worthwhile
and humbling experience. There is a sign-up sheet with directions in the Narthex. If you have questions, contact Phil Davidson.

Vigil – an occasion for devotional watching. In Matthew 26:38, Jesus told his disciples “…Stay here and keep watch with me.” The HCC Vigil is scheduled to begin immediately following the Good Friday service on April 2nd and continue through midnight on Easter morning. All are encouraged to participate – individuals, families, small groups. Multiple people and groups are welcome to sign-up for each of the hour time slots available. For security, participates will be able to lock themselves in the church. Please join us in this time of devotion as we prepare for Easter.
Sign-ups begin on March 7th and continue through the Good Friday service. You can sign-up on the board in the Narthex or here on the HCC website. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Marcia Brancheau. (972-849-5971 or marmee@verizon.net).
