PALM SUNDAY | MARCH 29 | 10 AM

On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem hailed as the promised King and Messiah of God. The crowd waved palm branches and shouted Hosanna, which means “save us now.” As a church, we celebrate the coming of our King Jesus who did come to save us, not merely from our earthly trouble, but from our sins. Join us as all three of our international fellowships worship together at 10 a.m., rejoicing that Jesus has indeed come to save us.

Maundy Thursday | APRIL 2 | 7 PM

On the night before Jesus was crucified, Jesus gave his disciples a “mandatum novum,” a new command. That is where we get the word Maundy from: Jesus said, “a new command I give you–that you love one another as I have loved you.” Jesus gave this command during the last supper with his disciples. Every year HCC comes together to remember Jesus’ new command and partake of the Lord’s Supper on the eve of Good Friday. We hope you’ll come to join us at 7 p.m. on April 2.

Babies and kids up to age 4 are welcome to be cared for in our nursery, but they are also welcome to join us in worship.

GOOD FRIDAY | APRIL 3 | 7 PM

This is the day we remember that Jesus died on the cross. We call it “good” because Jesus died for us. At the cross, Jesus takes the curse of our sin upon himself and gives us the righteousness he earned through his faithful and perfect obedience. Every Good Friday HCC comes and hears again the account of Jesus’ atoning death on the cross. This service begins in the HCC Sanctuary at 7 p.m. and will conclude outside at the cross in front of our property. We hope you will join us.

Babies and kids up to age 4 are welcome to be cared for in our nursery, but they are also welcome to join us in worship.

PRAYER VIGIL | APRIL 3, 8 PM–APRIL 5, 12 AM

Easter Prayer Vigil: Starting on Good Friday, HCC will host an Easter Prayer Vigil from 8:00 p.m. Good Friday evening (4/3) thru 12:00 a.m. Easter Sunday morning (4/5). See the sign-up sheets in the narthex after worship. There are 28 one-hour time slots available. Pray at home or in the sanctuary.

EASTER SUNDAY | APRIL 5 | 9:30 AM

Easter is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus! On Friday Jesus died, physically and spiritually. On Sunday, he was raised from the dead, in fulfillment of the Scriptures. Easter is a day of joy and celebration remembering that Jesus’ resurrection gives us a sure and certain expectation of the resurrection from the dead of all who place their faith and trust in Jesus. We’d be glad to see you on this wonderful day of worship at 9:30 a.m. on April 5.

LENT DEVOTIONAL

If you are interested in walking through Lent this year in a deeper way with us, please click on the link below to access the online version of our Advent guide. This is a practice that can be done on your own, with others in your community, or family. With some adjustments, you can also enjoy deep discussions with your children.
“When Lent comes around each year, we enter into something like a wilderness that allows us to examine ourselves and see our true need for Jesus. This helps prepare our hearts for the joyful celebration that is Easter.
